December 2013 Ipsy Bag Review~ (And New Hair Color!)

Heyy pretty gals~
My Ipsy bag came in the mail today! Was a nice start to the week~
The bag this month is pretty c:
I'm not going to get into a huge review of each and every item because I think it's unnecessary, however I'll give a quick description of each thing, as well as my opinion. Let's start!

Blush/Eye color/Lip color
Unfortunately, this was my least favorite product of the bunch. Which is a shame :/
The color is way too vivid to use as a blush (only one short swipe of it left a huge amount of color, making it look very artificial), and though I haven't tried it on my lips yet, it looks too glittery and dry to be comfortable. Which is a shame.
Be A Bombshell 'The One Stick' in flustered ($16)
NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Miracle ($4)
The other lip product was NYX's Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Miracle, which they describe to be a blue-toned pink with gold shimmer. This is actually a decent lipstick (affordable too), though the color sadly isn't for me. I might consider repurchasing this later on though, in some other shade (since this doesn't suit me all that well.) It does apply nicely though.

Eyeshadow
Pop Beauty Eyeshadow Trio in 'Smokin' Hot' (Approx. $8)
This set of three eye-shadows is part of a larger palette of 10. There were actually two different trio's available, so I was disappointed to get this one since silver isn't exactly my color, but oh well. The pigmentation is decent, but since I wasn't very thrilled about the colors, I can't say I love this much.

Lashes
Andrea Modlash Strip Lashes in No. 33 ($4)
They're lashes. What's they're to stay about them. Not particularly natural looking, but I don't wear false lashes anyways, so, their natural-ness is irrelevant. They do look not too bad though.

Nail Polish
Starilly Nail Polish In 'Bzzz Bzzz' ($5)
I thought I would strongly dislike this, however it actually looks pretty cute. Glitter is a pain to get off, but that's ok x3 I like the nail polish (it is a miniature sized bottle however, so it doesn't contain all that much product)
1 layer of the polish. Glittery!
This has been a shortish post. But I don't really have all that much to say about these products so... ta-ta!
Here's a pic of me wearing all the products included in this month's Ipsy Bag~
Also... I dyed my hair! For the winter I decided to go for something more winter-y, so I chose a pretty chocolate brown color. It doesn't show all that well in this photo, but you'll see later on. Hope you guys like it ^.^
Bye~

30 Random Facts about Me (Tagged by June from Junniku~)

This is a sorta spur of the moment post, but I was tagged to do June's '30 Random Facts about Me' so.... here it goes xD
(Also here's a link to her blog. Check it out. It's awesome :3)
Time to me to fail at thinking of stuff to write, but I'll give it a shot!

1). I hate fish, but I love sushi and sashimi (strangely). Living next to the ocean makes you tired of cooked fish all the time o.O

2). I'm learning two languages at school, Spanish and Japanese. In addition to that I know English (obviously), Ukrainian, and Russian.

3). I've been wanting to learn to play the saxophone since I was in 4th grade, however I've never gotten around to it. I do however play the piano~

4). In second grade I slipped on a patch of ice and bit my lower lip in half ;A; (ow.)

5). My friend has recently gotten me to looooooove anime ♥
Currently I'm loving Clannad a lot (I swear I've cried like 8 times already)
6). When I was younger I would competitively ice skate, however after moving to the east coast I stopped since skating lessons were really expensive .-.

7). I have a cat named Beasty, who, when she was about a year old, would climb up the jeans of me and my friends while we played Wii. It. Hurt.

8). When it comes to emotional books/movies/television shows, I never cry (with the exception of Clannad)

9).  My taste in music changes ALL the time, so whenever people ask me what music I like I'm always troubled as to what to tell them.

10). In the past several months I've become addicted to Homestuck, which, if you don't know, is a webcomic thingy which is pretty interesting :3
*sob* I need to do more productive things with my life.
11). I would rather be in the mountains than the ocean; I love skiing ♥

12). I'm a bit of a shopaholic, and I just can't resist shopping cause it's so fun xD I'd rather buy one or two expensive things that I like than 5 not so expensive things that I like but don't love.

13). I hate Wednesdays because on those days I have about three and a half hours of math (if you count the time I take to do homework, it's probably about 4. Which is 1/6th of the day. Which is just ridiculous.)

14). My favorite drinks are chai tea lattes and green tea frappuccinos (plain green tea is also delicious)

15). As you've probably guessed from the title of my blog, I love cherry blossoms ♥ The trees are just soo beautiful but I don't think I've ever seen one in real life :( Which makes me sad.
16). I very rarely buy drugstore makeup for a very terrible reason: the majority of the time, the packaging isn't cute xD.

17). I like drawing a lot however I don't have very much time for it now because of school :( Which is sad.

18).  My most irrational fears are of mold (which just creeps me out) and of frisbees. Why frisbees? When I was six I was throwing one around with my dad and when he threw it to me I didn't catch it in time so it sliced my eyebrow open ;n;

19). My least favorite subject in school is history, especially American history (since I'm pretty sure there've been only 3 years when I haven't learned it -.-)

20). I LOVE Miyazaki movies; my favorite has to be Princess Mononoke, or Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. If you don't recognize those titles, it's the same guy that made Totoro (which you should've at least seen somewhere :P)
21). There was a time a few years ago when I was obsessed with making paper stars, since it was super fun~

22). I would rather it be very cold and snowy than very hot and sunny. I love the snow! ^_^

23). I take boxing lessons, which surprises many people since I'm pretty girly and don't seem like the type of person that'd box xD

24). I love sewing, since it's super calming :3 Needle felting (I think it's called that) is also quite enjoyable.

25). I get stressed very easily (which is bad) and often because of that I get very sick (which is even worse).
26). I'm terrible at keeping secrets of my own, so if something happens that I feel that I shouldn't be telling I'll still tell people -.- Despite that I keep other people's which is strange xD

27).  I like cooking quite a lot, it's always been my goal to make the perfect French macaron, however I always fail terrible ;A;

28). I have a younger sister who is six years old, and quite annoying.

29). If I were a fruit, I'd be a lychee (random, I know, but we needed to answer what fruit we'd be for an anime club meeting thing xD)

30). My favorite type of sashimi is maguro (tuna) Because I'm super creative when it  comes to facts about me :P

goronyan, I think she's saying? o.O
So yeah! That pretty much concludes this spur of the moment posts, hope you enjoyed it xD

Bye everyone~ ^_^

Pink vs. VIP Gold SKIN 79 BB Creams: What's the Difference?

Hellooooo everyone!
Today I thought I'd make a comparison between the SKIN 79 VIP Gold and Pink BB creams. I've often found myself wondering which would be right for me, so I thought I might be able to help you with what I know! Yay! ^_^
The Korean company SKIN 79 has many types of BB creams, however I find that the most common ones are the Pink and the Gold VIP. There's also an orange one, but I haven't had much experience with it nor have I found it very common. In addition to that there are several others, such as the Snail Nutrition BB cream (which I just discovered today that it exists and I now want to try it because of it's pretty white and gold packaging :3) and the Oriental Gold BB creams (some of which come with a little blush/all over color thing, isn't that cute?)
And now, some possibly useful information about the two:

SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Plus Beblesh Balm:
Yayy isn't it pretty? :D
Price: For 40 g on their website, they are selling this for $30 (though you can definitely find it for cheaper on Ebay or Amazon, though there is the risk of it being a fake).
SPF?: Yes; SPF 25, PA++
Colors: To my knowledge this only comes in one shade, however it does oxidize and adjust to your skin color pretty accurately. It starts out greyish, but turns more fleshy within minutes.
Coverage: Medium; here are some photos to give you a vague idea~
Without
And with the BB cream.

There isn't a gigantic difference, however I did notice my skin tone to be more even and for redness to be un-reddened. A layer has pretty decent coverage, and a little bit goes a long way.
Recommended for: Oily/Combination Skin
Special Ingredients: Tangerine Oil (For lively skin), Arbutin (Aids in whitening of skin), and Phyto-Complex (Provides nutrition)

VIP Gold Super Plus Beblesh Balm:

It's got caviar :3
Price: Same as the Pink; $30 on their website for 40 g
SPF?: Yes; SPF25, PA++
Colors: Also only one color, but this is just a teensy bit lighter than the Pink. A little bit.
Coverage: Medium-low; the coverage for this is just a teensy bit worse than that of the pink, but this may just have to do with how much I applied.
Just a little bit worse. Not much.
Recommended for: Dry skin. This is moisturizing, which obviously would be bad for a person with oily skin, especially in the summer.
Special Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil (For nutrition and resilience), Purslane Extracts (relaxes the skin), and Madecassoside (Improves texture).

Here's a photo showing a comparison between the colors of the two, along with the SKIN79 Chiffon BB Mousse which I did a review of here.
The Chiffon Mousse looks so out of place... o.O Poor awkward thing.
So yes, they look very similar. In fact the only real difference is the skin type it's meant for; Gold if you're dry, Pink if you're oily/combination. Aside from that, the coverage, texture, and color differences are very minimal, so if you're stuck, just evaluate your skin-type, and go for it!
I hope this was helpful, and I'll see ya in the next post :3
Bye bye!
