十月二千十五- October 2015 Favorites~

こんばんは、 ともだち!
Good evening friend!
Didja see what I did there with the kanji in the title? :3 Trying to practice my Japanese~
But anyways, today, I thought I'd write about my favorites for the month of October!
I'm not much of a Halloween person, so there won't be any Halloween-y favorites here- sorry!
Let's start!

Is it okay if I start with something I made? I'm going to say that it is, because it is my blog after all :3
I really want to do art/crafty stuff more often, so I thought that each month I'd post a favorite drawing that I've done, as well as something that I've crafted.
I love Madoka Magica, it's one of my favorite animes, so I wanted to make some things from it!
(If you don't know the anime this will all sound like gibberish to you, so skip down to the next favorite ^_^)
Above, going from left to right, is Sayaka's soul gem, Homura's grief seed, and Madoka's soul gem!
They took very long to sculpt, but I'm really happy with the end results. I had never really done such detailed sculpting, and although they didn't turn out perfectly, I'm quite happy with the end result ^_^

"Forest Candies"

My favorite drawing that I've done this month is this one!
I really like drawing skulls, so I just started this as a sort of quick, fun piece. I'm also fascinated by the wide variety of mushrooms that there are in the wild, so I just drew a bunch... cause fun? Some of them look really unreal, but I did them all from reference photos, so they all exist in the wild, which I think is really cool!
Anyways, now that my nerdy ranting is over, let's move on!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
My skin has been pretty dry lately- I'm not sure why that is, but I apply this cream every night and it helps! I think it's only $10 at Sephora, and it works magically. You can use it anywhere you have irritated/dry skin. I have pretty sensitive skin, but it works quite well for me and hasn't caused any sort of irritation. Plus, it smells like a cream from my childhood that I used whenever I had a cold, so every time I use this is gives me a burst of nostalgia~ (The scent isn't strong; it's just slightly herbal).
Shishedo Water in Lip Lip Balm (Pear Flavour?)
Going along with dry skin products, this lip balm is great for dry lips! It glides on smoothly, doesn't feel sticky, and smells great (like pears!) It's a bit pricier than your average lip balm, I think it's around $6 on Ebay? But, it's definitely nicer than most of the other lip balms that I've tried in the past. I really like it ^_^
Shiro Cosmetics
I got these eyeshadows a few months ago from the online shop Shiro Cosmetics. They make a lot of "nerdy themed" beauty products- so Harry Potter themed, Game of Thrones, Pokemon, etc. I think the quality of these products is great! One of my favorites is Alpaca Picnic (the pink shimmer one on the left). I'll have a review of all of these (as well as a lip balm from Shiro Cosmetics that isn't pictured here) up in a little bit ^_^
Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer!
Ahhhh I love this game so much! I got it a little while ago and I'm absolutely obsessed >u< I'm sure that most of you have heard of the Animal Crossing game series, but this isn't really like any of the other games. You sort of just go around making houses/rooms/venues for the villages in your village! They tell you what sort of things they like, what they want, and then you design it for them! You can also make hospitals, schools, and other such places, which I think is really cool!
This game is a great way to unwind after a long, tiring day. So much cuteness!
EyeCandy Pom Pom Earrings
I wrote a review for these a few days ago, so check it out here! I really love these earrings so much ;u; They're very big, so they draw quite a bit of attention, which I love >u< I think they go with a lot of different outfits- and I've definitely been wearing them too much, but eh, what can I say? Who wouldn't want giant puffballs hanging off of their ears? :3
Anyways, that's all I have for this month's favorites!
Thanks for reading!
Bye-bye!

Eyecandy Pom Pom Earring Review~

こんばんは みなさん! げんきですか?
Good evening everyone! How are you?
(At least, it's evening when I'm posting this >u<)
Today I have a review of an item that I've been wanting for a super duper long time!
I had been eyeing the online shop Eyecandy for forever, because of all the super duper cute/creepy accessories they have~ In particular I've been wanting some of their pom pom earrings, because  I feel like I've seen them everywhere. I finally was able to get a pair, so I decided to review them for you guys! ^_^
Let's start!

The item that I ordered were the Big Pom Pom Earrings! I've seen earrings of this style everywhere on the internet, but never really any places to buy them/instructions on how to make them, so when I saw these for $12, I decided to buy them!
They're so pretty ;u;

Everything came packaged in a really cute pink bubble envelope, which I promptly tore open so that I could put on the earrings, so I'm afraid I don't have a photo of the actual package >.> Here's everything that was in it though!
The store owner, Emilia, is so sweet in her packaging ;u;
This little packet contained a sweet note, her business card, and some hard candies!
Isn't the business card cool?
She also included a pin! It's not currently on her site- so I don't think she's producing them anymore. I pinned it on my backpack :3

And now onto the actual earrings! They came on a little earring-hanger-thing, which you can't really see because the earrings are so puffy, but believe me it's there~

The earrings themselves look a *tiny* bit different from the stock photo. The earring hook is silver, and sort of a different style, and they seem to be a bit smaller (this is evident when worn).
I honestly preferred the gold hook, but they're still cute with the silver! I just wish I knew ;u; It also would have been nice had they been as big as they were in the photo, but I think they're pretty huge either way hehe.
Other than the slight differences, these are really well made! The fabric is soft faux fur, and the ball is firmly attached to the earring hook. These get squished easily, but if you squish them back into shape, they stay that way.
Overall I'm really happy with these earrings! They're definitely a cute accessory to any outfit :3 I think I'm going to be wearing these wayyy too much. I might try and make some more pairs for myself in the future (because these aren't too cheap, and I also want to try and experiment with some designs that Emilia didn't have in her shop).
Anyways, here are some photos of the earrings worn! So that you can really see how big and fluffy these are :3

These earrings are definitely a super easy way to add a ton of cuteness to your look :3 I really recommend them, and the Eyecandy shop in general!
Anyways, thank you for reading!
おやすみ なさい!
