Some New Clothes- Yahoo Japan Auctions Mini Haul~

Hi everyone!
I think it's been quite a while since I've posted about clothes, so today I thought I would do a post sharing some things that I've recently received in the mail!
I've really been into shopping on Yahoo Japan Auctions- you can find such cute cheap things on there~
So, here are the five items that I received!

1. La Maison Amavel Blouse

When I started wearing lolita fashion a few years ago, I really liked the designs of Amavel blouses- I feel like everyone had their 'tea party' embroidery blouse. So, I was happy to find this one! La Maison translates to 'house', which I feel is an unusual word to put on a blouse, but it's cute nonetheless~ It's rare that I find short-sleeved blouses that suit me, but I really like how this one fits! It's something that I think I will be wearing often.

2. Ank Rouge Fantasy Night Skirt in Navy

Ahhh this skirt has been a dream piece of mine since I first saw it a couple of years ago ;u; I really love everything that has a zodiac print on it, and so I think that this skirt is just so beautiful~ I found it at an amazing price, and it turned out to be brand new (with a tag and everything)! So, I was really lucky to find it, and am super happy~ It was also made in a pink and gold colorway, so I think someday I'll try to get that as well!

Here are the previous two items in an outfit- I wore this yesterday and felt quite cute~

3. Ank Rouge Turtleneck Top

This is just a nice casual top that I thought I could wear with a lot of different things~ It's a very soft and stretchy material, and I love the shoulder ruffles! It also has small scalloping on the ends of the sleeves and at the base of the top, which I like~ I have a top that's very similar to this, but it has lace at the base of the collar and a moon cut-out on the chest; I really love that top, and so I decided to get a more casual version of it ^-^

4. Liz Lisa Pink and Tan Plaid Miniskirt

I sort of purchased this skirt on impulse because the waist tie had pom poms and I love clothes with pom poms ;u; It's actually a really old item- the tag on it is different than the other Liz Lisa items that I have, so I was worried that it was a replica, but it turns out that the brand had different tag when they first started out so it's okay~ It's really nice quality, but it's made of wool, which is a bit pointless in Florida, so I think I'm going to have to resell it ;^; I don't want to just have something lying around that I won't be using...

But anyways, here are the last two items worn~

5. Long Sleeved Amavel Blouse

When I saw the listing of this blouse it looked as though it was a thin chiffon material, but it actually ended up being silky satin! I really really love the design of this blouse- I think it's fancy but not too fancy, and I really love the champagne color of it~ The ribbon ties on the neck are removable! They attach via buttons underneath the collar- the other Amavel blouse I got also has buttons under the collar, so I can use these ribbons on the other blouse too, which is nice~
And here it is worn~

On the whole, I'm really happy with everything I got! I hope you liked seeing it~
Also, I made a YouTube video with an unboxing of all of this, as well as a small review of the shopping service I used, so please check it out if you're interested!

Nomakenolife February 2017 Review~

Hi everyone! I hope you're doing well :alpacacrush:
I recently tried out a new subscription box and I thought I would share my experience with you all!
The box I'll be reviewing today is the "nomakenolife" subscription box from the Tokyo Treat company! They also have a snack subscription box as well as a Yume Kawaii box; the nomakenolife box is their most recent addition~ It's a box for Japanese cosmetics, which really intrigued me- I just had to get it! :alpacashocked:
This box was the debut box, so I wasn't sure what to expect~ The box cost $30 (although I used a coupon code that made it $20), and each box is supposed to contain 5-7 items. So, let's see what I got!
This month's box contained six items~ Everything was a surprise except for the Sailor Moon eyelashes (which to be honest, were the main reason I got this box- I've been wanting to try these eyelashes for a while, and I got so excited when I heard that they would be included in this box!)
The box also came with a booklet describing each item and how to use it.

The first item that I got were these Sailor Moon false eyelashes! There were four designs you could get, and I got the Sailor Jupiter lashes, which made me happy because she's my favorite sailor scout!
There are two pairs of eyelashes, and they also come with a cute lash storage case which I find convenient!
The interesting thing about this eyelashes series is that they have some color to them! The Sailor Jupiter lashes have a tint of green on the outer half, which I think could look very nice with the right sort of makeup!
I haven't tried out these eyelashes yet, but I'm very excited to do so~

The next item I got was this eyelash glue from Dolly Wink!
This is another item I'm very much looking forward to try! I still haven't found an eyelash glue that I really like, but I've heard good things about Dolly Wink, so I'm hoping that this will work well! You brush on the glue instead of squeezing it onto the lashband, so it seems much more convenient than the glues that I've tried out so far.

The next item I got are these Hello Kitty Sakura face masks!
I'm a bit of a sheet mask addict, so I was really excited to see these in my box! They're even better because they're Hello Kitty masks! The sachet is resealable and contains eight masks, which I think is quite nice~ They contain sakura extract, tea extract, and hyaluronic acid- all things which are great for the skin! These have a very faint but pleasant floral smell. I've used two already, and although they don't have any profound effect on my skin, they did make my face quite soft~ The only complaint I have about these masks is that the fabric that the mask is made of is quite thick, and it's not very saturated, so it doesn't stick to my face too easily; but otherwise I really like these!

The next item I got is this sakura facial soap~
I haven't tried this yet because I currently have a very big supply of face wash, but I am looking to try it out because it smells very nice!

The next item is this twelve-colour eyeshadow palette from the brand 'Noyl'
There were four different palettes available, and each of them had a variety of colors~ A double sided brush is also included, which seems quite convenient! I'm very picky about the eyeshadows that I use though, so I'll probably just give it away to someone ;^; As such, I haven't tried it out yet.

The last item that I got was this cute little hand cream!
It has a little panda on it, and it's green apple scented! The hand cream comes in a silicone container, which you can use to attach it to your bag or backpack~ It smells quite nice- very appley! It's also adequately moisturizing~

On the whole, I'm quite happy with this box! I think it's definitely worth trying out if you're into Japanese cosmetics- it gives you the chance to try some new things that you might not get the opportunity to try otherwise~

Kirei Pink Lens Review {Klenspop Sponsored}~

Hi everyone!
I hope January has been treating you well~ Sorry about not writing for a little while- I started up classes again a few weeks ago and so it has taken me a little while to get used to things.
Today I have a circle lens review! Gosh I feel like it's been forever since I've done one of these ;^;
Today I'll be reviewing the Kirei Pink lenses, which were kindly sent to me for review by Klenspop! They're a fantastic circle lens supplier, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for a place to get lenses~
Anyways, let's start!

I'm really quite fond of the design of the 'kirei' lens series! I've reviewed them before in the blue colourway, and I think they're just so striking! The dark band around the outside makes the lenses stand out a lot on your eyes, however they don't feel too unnatural- because of the yellowish ring on the inside, they blend quite well with my hazel eyes! The design diameter of these lenses is 14.8 mm, which isn't massive, but it's still a fairly enlarging size.
Here is how they look on my eyes~
Natural light
W/ Flash (sorry that it turned out so overexposed ;^; )

Dim room lighting
I really like that the pink shows up so well on these lenses! I originally got these because I wanted to do a Madoka Kaname cosplay, but then I realized I had no motivation to cosplay and so I ended up not doing that ;^; I still think they're very nice lenses nonetheless!
These are very comfortable as well! My eyes are quite sensitive, however I was able to wear these for a number of hours without having any discomfort.
On the whole, I'm quite happy with these lenses! I think the design is very pretty- it's striking without being too artificial, if that makes sense. I highly recommend these, whether you're looking to use them for a cosplay, or just for everyday wear when you want to enhance your eyes~
Here are a few more photos of them on, just so you get the general idea of how they look~

2016 in Review and 2017 Resolutions~

Hi everyone!
Happy New Year~
I'm writing this post a bit later than I intended- I just got lazy haha.
Today I thought I'd review the resolutions from last year, write about if I met them or not, and set some new ones for this upcoming year~
Let's start!

2016's Resolutions

No. 1: Go Cruelty Free
There were several parts to this resolution- I wanted to buy from companies that were cruelty free, eat less meat, and I wanted to stop supporting companies that used sweatshop labor. I'd say I was quite successful with this, for the most part! I honestly haven't purchased that much makeup/skincare this year, and I've been shopping a lot at LUSH- they pride themselves in being cruelty free so I think they're a great company to support (and they have fantastic skin care). I don't eat meat frequently- I'm by no means a vegetarian, but in general I do prefer my meals to not have meat unless it's something quite special, if that makes sense.
As for shopping, this year the vast majority of clothing I purchased was second hand! Whether it was from a thrift store, vintage store, or through apps like depop, a lot of things I've bought have been previously owned. I think buying second hand is a great way to get unique items, and you end up spending less as well~ I've also been selling a lot of my clothes as well, so if you're interested, here's the link to my depop~
Overall I think I did really well with this resolution! Of course there's always room for improvement, but I'm quite satisfied with the progress I've made~

No. 2: Cosplay!
Lol this one was a complete failure- I realized cosplay just isn't something I'm dedicated to- and that's okay~

No. 3: Lose Weight
Another resolution which was quite a success~ I've lost about 30 lbs, so I'm quite content~ Not much to say about this ;u;

No. 4: Work More on my YouTube
Throughout the year I really neglected my YouTube, but recently I've been posting more often so I guess it's okay?

2017's Resolutions

Honestly, there really isn't anything specific I want for this upcoming year ;u; I just want to keep going on the same track I've been going on with my previous resolutions. More weight loss and more work on my YouTube~

Thank you for reading!
I hope you have a happy 2017~
What are your resolutions for this year?

Valfre Luna and Bowie Choker Reviews~

Long time no see!
Sorry for not writing in a while- school was taking up a lot of time and I didn't have much motivation for writing anything at all...
In any case though, I hope you're all enjoying the holiday season, and that you had a nice Christmas if you celebrated it yesterday
Today I thought I'd write a small review of some chokers I got from Valfre! They have a really nice selection of vegan leather chokers (and they also carry clothes and phone cases and that sort of thing). If I remember correctly, their stuff is handmade in California, which is really nice (correct me if I'm wrong though).
Anyways, let's start!

The chokers came in individual boxes which are quite sturdy. This is really useful because it makes storage much easier~

I was worried that they would have an artificial/plasticky scent (as fake leather often does in my experience), but these were perfectly fine~

Bowie Choker (TAN) - Valfre - 1

I thought this choker was really cute because of the large bow~ It comes in pink and black as well, but I figured that the nude one would be the most versatile and less garish (since it's already a fairly attention-drawing piece). It closes on snaps, which allows you to fit it to your neck size more or less.

I think this choker is really cute~ It's quite comfortable too! I honestly have no complaints about it- it's really well made and doesn't seem like it'll be falling apart any time soon.
Here's a worn photo of it~

I highly recommend this choker if you're looking  for something cute, but not too obviously cute~

And now for the next choker, which is my favourite of the two

Luna Choker (WHITE) - Valfre - 1

I was really drawn to this choker because of the huge pom-pom~ I really love everything that's fluffy and I thought that this would be such a cute piece for winter.

Unlike the Bowie choker, this one closes on a buckle, which I really like because it feels much more secure that way. The pompom is also incredibly soft- if it wasn't stated that this was a vegan choker, I'd definitely think that it was real fur.
The construction on this one is also great~On the whole I really like this one because it goes with a lot of my outfits, so I can wear it frequently!

Overall I'm really pleased with the quality of Valfre chokers- they're really cute and well made, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for something unique and nice quality!
