Dolly Kei: My Latest Fashion Obsession~

Hi everyone~
Today I'll be doing a post a little different from anything I've done before: a sort of fashion inspiration-type thing!
As most of you (probably) know by now, I love J-fashion. While I mostly wear lolita, I also am trying to delve into mori girl more. But, there's also another fashion that I really like.... Dolly Kei!
(Unless specified, all images from antique-dolly.tumblr.com)
Dolly Kei to me seems like the love child between lolita and mori girl (the best things ever, right?)
It clearly takes inspiration from Victorian fashions, but at the same time there are much fewer rules than there are in lolita (there are no restrictions on skirt length, shoe type, what pieces need to be worn- it's a much freer fashion). It focuses a lot on layering, and unlike in lolita, there's no focus on 'brands'. Often the pieces are thrifted or vintage, making it a very accessible fashion.

Dolly Kei originated from a Japanese store called 'Grimoire', which you may have heard of because of their amazing (pricey) tights.

There really aren't any strong restrictions on Dolly Kei, which is cool. There are generally two types of it- very light colored dolly kei (which looks similar to mori girl and cult party kei), and the darker colored dolly kei (which has more jewel tones/dark neutrals).
Here are some really cute Dolly Kei coords that I found, so you get a better idea of the aesthetic of the fashion.

As you can see, there are a lot of different variations of the style. Extravagant, simple, long dresses, short dresses, light colors, dark colors- everything!

Also on the topic of Dolly Kei, I found a really cute taobao shop called Artka!
They carry a lot of vintage/peasant/woodlandgirl clothes that I think would be perfect for Dolly Kei~ Here are some of my favorites~
Yeah.... clearly I like this shop a lot >u<

Anyways, I think that's about all I have to say on the subject. I just wanted to share the fashion with you guys in case it's something you'd be interesting~
I plan on ordering from Artka from some point, so when I do, I'll let you guys know :3
Thanks for reading!
Bye-bye~

So Comfy!- Von Natural Fit Bijou Brown Lens Review {Klenspop Sponsored}~

Happy Friday!
Are you guys looking forward to the weekend?

Today I once again have a review sponsored by Klenspop! If you still don't know about them, they're a shop which carries a decently sized assortment of mostly really cheap circle lenses~ I've had great experiences with their lenses in the past, so I highly recommend them if you're shopping for circle lenses on a budget!
Alright then, let's start!

Today's review is of lenses that are a bit pricier than Klenspop's normal lenses- but for good reason! These are the Von Natural Fit Bijou Brown lenses, and they're really quite cool.
They're silicone hydrogel lenses, so they have a relatively high water content, UV protection, and they're really thin. This makes them super comfortable- but I'll touch on that later. For now, a bit of information about these lenses.
Brand: Belmore
Diameter: 14.2mm
Design Diameter: 13.0mm
Base Curve: 8.7mm
Shelf Life: 6 months
Water Content: 45%
Price: $30
The lenses came packaged as usual, in a box with a lens case and a pair of tweezers for picking them up~

And here's how the design looks in real life~ Look how thin the lens is!

Before I go into details of the good things about these lenses, photos! Since look is definitely one of the major components we think of when getting circle lenses~
In Window Light

Window Light w/ Flash

Flash always seems to be the best way to show off the design, don't you think?
Full Face!

Forgive my derpiness...
Anyways, now the important stuff about the lenses!

Design
I really like the design of these! They blend in very well with my natural eye color- it's barely noticeable that I'm wearing contacts in fact. These aren't enlarging, they're just emphasizing for your eyes. I think if you already have really dark eyes these won't do much for you though, but you never know! I think they'd look quite striking on light eyes so that there would be that contrast between the light iris and the dark swirls of color...
Anyways, wear whatever lenses you want hehe x3
Comfort
Omigosh these are seriously the most comfortable lenses I've ever tried. Really! They're even more comfortable than my regular clear contact lenses, and that's saying something! I think it has to do with the thinness of this lens- it just feels very comfortable, and I hardly notice that I'm wearing them. In general, silicone hydrogel lenses seem to be amazing- I suggest you try them if you have sensitive eyes.
Anyways, that's about all I have to say about these lenses! I was really impressed with them, and I highly suggest you try them if you want something comfortable and good for everyday wear (seriously I wear these so much now- they're my go-to lens for when I don't want to look too eccentric).
Thanks for reading!
Bye leaf-babies~
Do you have a pair of lenses you wear all the time?

Jolse Skincare Haul+First Impressions~

Hi lovelies!
What with the move to college, I now lack a ton of my skincare stuff, so I decided to order some stuff off of Jolse! If you've been reading my blog for a while you know that I love them, so I'll just get right into the haul~
All dat stuff
So, I'm almost out of my Peach Sake Pore BB Cream from Skinfood, and so I decided to try something new... something interesting... something... unusual~
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Ice Cooling BB
So this was a BB cream that I thought was really interesting~ I've tried the regular Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream before {here's my review of it}, and I thought it was pretty good, so when I saw this I was intrigued. It's supposed to be for the summer- it has SPF 50 (which is really high) and it supposedly cools your skin by 5 degrees Celcius when applied- Perfect for Florida weather.
I'm quite liking this BB cream! It's an aerosol formula, which is definitely quite different from most things I've used before. I'll have a complete review of this up sometime in the future, so look out for that if you're interested in this product~
Etude House Wonder Pore Freshener
I've heard lots of good things about this product (and the Wonder Pore line in general) so I decided to try it out! It's supposed to be useful for a lot of things- making your pores smaller, clearing them out, cooling your skin... etc. etc.
I'm quite liking this! It's not super cheap, but there is a fairly large amount of product so you won't really run out quickly. I haven't noticed a big effect on my pores yet, but I haven't been using it for that long so I'm hopeful~
The Face Shop Eye and Lip Remover
I've been using baby wipes to remove my makeup, but that's a bit difficult when it comes to eye makeup, so I decided to buy something legitimate. There's nothing too special about this makeup remover. It's unscented, but if you buy this beware, because it needs to be washed off! It leaves an oily residue on my face, but once I rinse it off it's fine. This is pretty good at removing my eye makeup, although sometimes I find that there's a bit of residual mascara- and it's not perfect at getting rid of eyelash glue (seriously though, nothing can do that well ;n;)
Green Tea Seed Serum Lucky Box~
This I got because I really wanted the Green Tea Seed Serum, which was included in this box, along with something else from the Green Tea Seed line. It was only a few dollars more expensive than the serum itself, so I decided why not, because it came with an extra full product, as well as some more goodies.

The serum~
This is a really popular product- it's supposed to be really moisturizing and nourishing. I really like it- it's a serum so it's super liquidy, but I find that I only need a pump of it or so to cover my entire face. It smells really amazing, and I think it does make my skin softer~ I like it ^_^ I recommend it for those of you who want a really nice moisturizer that doesn't feel too heavy (as I find that cream moisturizers can feel at times).
A pretty card that came with it. I have no idea what it says, but I hung it on my wall because it looks pretty hehe~
The extra item that came in this lucky pack was the green tea cleansing bar. I wasn't too excited about this because I already have a lot of cleansing products, but it's a pretty nice cleanser. It smells the same as the serum, and it's not drying as I find a lot of bar cleansers to be.
The lucky box also came with 20 cotton pads, as well as a mirror. I really like these cotton pads though! They're so soft! I use them with my makeup remover, and it feels very gentle~ I like them a lot x3 I'll need to find some similar ones here.

That's it for normal stuff that I got~ And as always, SAMPLES!!!! (cause who doesn't love samples... I feel like I'm sometimes more excited about the samples than anything else hehehe)
I've only tried the Baking Powder cleanser, and it's soooooo goooood *u* It smells like lemon cake and it's fantastic~ I just might buy the full sized version.... maybe...
Anyway, here's everything I got all together~
Yayyy so much stuff <3

Anyways, this was a bit of a random post, but I just wanted to show everything that I got~
Thanks for reading!
Bye-bye~
Have you tried any of these items?
