Looking For Someone to Trade With+Art I love~

Hey lovelies!

A more casual/ random post today~ Cause writing reviews all the time can get boring x3

First!
I've always wanted to do a package exchange with someone- send each other candy/cute stuff/beauty products- stuff like that >u<
If any of you are interested at all, please email me! My email is redsakurabeauty@gmail.com
So yeah sorry if that was somewhat random but it's just something that I've wanted to do, and I thought that a good place to find someone who'd also want to exchange would be on my blog x3

And next, just a bit of art from the 2014 Autumn issue of Hi-Fructose. If you haven't heard of it, Hi-Fructose is an art magazine that I've been a bit obsessed with (okay, more than a bit). It's seasonal unfortunately, so it only comes out four times a year (at the beginning of each season). A couple of weeks ago, I was very excited when it finally came out, so I rushed down to my local bookstore and purchased it c:
I still haven't finished reading it however, since I'm trying to savour it x3 I'm just silly like that~
Anyways, here's some of the work that I've really been loving ^_^
Disclaimer: None of this art is mine!!!
It all belongs to the artist credited in the caption

Kazuki Takamatsu
The stunning cover (art by Kazuki Takamatsu)
Kazuki Takamatsu is my favorite artist featured in this edition of the magazine. I also think that his way of working is fascinating- he digitally designs all of these first (originally, he'd carve the pieces out of clay), and then he physically paints them using gouache and acrylic. I just think this is so innovative and fascinating- it's unlike anything I've heard of before.

All these girls are so stunning and powerful ;A; I like how many of them have weapons c:

This guy's art is seriously inspiring. You guys should definitely check out more of it c:

Ellen Jewett
Ellen Jewett
Firstly, I really like the merge between flora and fauna in Jewett's sculptures. In the end they have such a stunning effect (and it sorta reminds me of Miyazaki movies). The details are also fascinating.
Ellen Jewett
The sculpture of the boar I find particularly powerful; I'm not quite sure why, but it's so delicate and yet natural at the same time. It's also so detailed I'm amazed :o
I'll never understand how sculptors manage to make such intricate and beautiful pieces xD

Ai Yamaguchi
Ai Yamaguchi
Firstly, I think it's really cool that Yamaguchi makes her own canvases c: They're really interestingly shaped~
Secondly, I really like the girls that she draws and her art style c: It's quite simplistic at a glance, but once you look deeper, you see all the details in the background and in the fabric, for example. I think it's quite interesting c:

In any case, all of the art in Hi-Fructose was beautiful; I just chose to feature my three favorite artists (because writing about all of them would've been tiring...)
Sorry for all my blubbering about artsy stuff- I just wanted to share some artists that I like and why I like them x3

Thanks for reading! <3

  2. Oh my goodness! I've always wanted to have a package exchange too - like cute stationery, beauty products, and little snacks - but I live quite far ~ I am in New Zealand if you are interested ^_ ^

The Hi Fructose paintings are so beautiful - they are my favourite. Although the sculptures are just amazing, I love how ethereal they look, like they climbed out of a fairy tale.

    I've followed you by the way ^ - ^
